Usage rules

1. Only clients who have results from the Y-GenoGraf® Test of Genetic Origin for the paternal lineage may derive the full-features of the database.
   
   
2. If you only have results of the Mt-GenoGraf® Test for analyzing ancestors in the maternal lineage, you are unfortunately unable to use the database at present. We plan to expand data analysis of mitochondrial DNA at the end of this year.
   
   
3. If your Y-chromosomal profile has been processed by other renowned foreign laboratories, you may request in writing for your entry and access to this database. You will find instructions for entering your profile into the database here.
   
   
4. The database allows the mutual contact of individuals whose profiles are saved in the database with their consent. Contact takes place exclusively through the Contact Center that is accessible upon activation of a user account during the first visit.
   
   
5. Unsolicited mail of a commercial or advertising nature may not be sent through the Contact Center. Violating these rules will result in the deactivation of the respective user account.
   
   
6. The Database Operator agrees that personal information provided by the User when creating their user account will not be extended to third parties without the User's consent, with the exception that he/she would be obliged to do so, in this case solely to subjects authorized by respective judicial law in accordance with Law no. 101/2000 vol. (Law on the Protection of Personal Data) (i.e. to operative bodies in criminal proceedings, etc.).
   
   
7. The Database Operator agrees that he/she will not extend the content of messages (either received or sent through the Contact Center) to third parties without the User's consent, nor will he/she edit or censor message content.
   
   
8. The Database Operator reserves the right to perform monitoring of messages on the basis of complaints or warnings that unsolicited messages have been sent from certain user accounts.
   
   
9. The Database Operator carries no responsibility for message content or for any event related to the content of messages that are sent within the Contact Center database.
   
   
10. The Database Operator reserves the right to send e-mail messages containing information about changes of the database rules, news on database offerings, and news on other services offered by the Operator.
    
    
11. The Database Operator reserves the right to deactivate access of users without explanation, especially in the case that a user, in his/her behavior, has attempted to disrupt the stability and running of the database or system.
    
    
12. By activating an account in the database, the User unconditionally agrees with these rules and their possible changes, of which the User will be notified through e-mail. The Operator carries no responsibility for the possible delay or non-deliverance of such messages.
